Fireside Baby Back Ribs
Fall-off-the-bone ribs glazed in house BBQ, piled on whipped garlic potatoes with roasted market vegetables.
A rustic post-hike haven at the foot of the Santa Lucias — hearty home-cooked plates, thirteen rotating California craft taps, and a sun-drenched beer garden with the whole valley in view.
While scouting a home for his second Trailside Café, owner Sean Allen stood on an old deck in the Village and found himself staring up at the fire watchtower atop Garland Ranch.
The name suddenly fit the place. He secured the space and spent months transforming it into a proper post-hike haven — rough-hewn beams, a redwood bar, flickering lanterns, and a wood-burning stove dividing the dining room from the taps. Every surface is beautiful reclaimed wood, and a topographic map of the valley — hand-drawn by a local artist — glows behind the beer.
Wander the maple canyons and chaparral of Garland Ranch, then kick off your boots here. It's the reward at the bottom of the mountain.

In a valley full of tasting rooms, we're the one pouring beer. Thirteen rotating handles travel up and down the California coast, backed by a three-door cooler of chilled bottles and a wall of local wine. Grab a topo-etched Trailside pint and settle in.
Sample board — taps rotate constantly. Ask your server what's fresh, or catch us for Oktoberfest.
